Check out Mocavo.com. Member Mike Schwartz has a story that has been accepted as a finalist in the Mocavo contest to win a free trip. We enjoyed his story at our May 2011 meeting. Sign up and vote once a day until May 12.

I added a link for a site mentioned by Mark Gordon at his presentation at our last meeting. It is for the Latvian Holocaust victims. It contains a database that you can search.

IAJGS is an Amazon.associate and if you enter Amazon.com through the portal on the  www.IAJGS.org website (scroll down to the bottom of the IAJGS home page and click on the Amazon name) IAJGS benefits, and of course the same great prices for all their merchandise is the same.  This is a
great way to support IAJGS by shopping at  Amazon.com. and it doesn't cost
you any more!

From Jan Meisels:
"Legacy Family Tree offers a series of webinars that are of interest to the genealogical community. They are free and after a time period they may be purchased by CD.  The latest webinar is Navigating the 1940 U.S. Census by Thomas MacEntee. The webinar was live on March 7 -- It is available for free for listening until March 19, 2012. Go to www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/webinars.asp to listen to it.  Scroll down to about half-way on the page where they notice the webinars already given.
The webinar prominently focuses on the Steve Morse One Step Website (www.stevemorese.org). At the top of the website page is a listening of future webinars through the rest of the year.
"
This, and many other webinars, are listed on the calendar on our home page.

Just finished watching last night's "Who Do You Think You Are?". Favorite quote from Blair Underwood who exclaimed what we all feel, "I am lovin' this ride!" If you didn't tape (or TVo) it, watch old episodes http://www.nbc.com/who-do-you-think-you-are/episode-guide/
